This is totally nerdy, but I didn't realize this was yours!! And now I feel all honored that you commented on my art and that you are watching my gallery! LOL. I know, I'm totally nerdy, but seriously. This is rad! Niiiice work!!!
Haha! Well, yeah, that IS pretty nerdy...but I really can't say much because I participated in the GOW3 contest too. AND my friend and I still play the game almost every night. Even if we can only stay awake for 5 waves on Horde. We don't feel right unless we've played a little Gears before bed. Yeah, I'm pretty damn nerdy, myself! We are going to have to have a Nerd-Off to see who the nerdier one is! lol
Whooooo! Thanks so much! I just found out which is great because Monday was turning out to be pretty craptacular. Congrats again to your husband for making the semis! When our games come in we'll have to pound a few GOW baddies together.
Thanks! The inking took 5-7 days total. Jeremy and I decided early on that it would be best to give each other a full week so we'd have enough time to send in something proper. I started on a Wednesday but redrew and inked the female character 6 times before I finally got her right on Saturday. Then Sunday I inked the foreground characters and Monday thru Wednesday everything else.
I had planned on adding more baddies, buidlings, etc but I just ran out of time.
Oh hey man, nice entry. I remember you from your Zuda submission back in the day. Yours is one of my favorites. it is epic but still has a great style to it. I think you got a shot at being in the top 3. I am happy to be in the top 100.
Thanks so much, man! The pen and ink work came out nicer than I expected but Jeremy's colors take the work to the next level. Yeah, that Zuda competition stressed the hell out of me. I think I lost 20 pounds during the voting session! Then, when I finally sent in a second submission, they closed the Zuda competition a week later. Boooo (Did your Cubicle work make it?)! Your GOW stuff is pretty cool! Good luck!
yeah, tell me about it. I had two entries compete on Zuda. The Rejects and Cubicles and I lost both times. Cubicles was actually in dead last. But it is all good. I decided after that to revamp it and complete my first graphic novel for it. And that got picked up by Red 5 Comics. So pretty happy about that. I did do another submission and sent it in, but just like you, they shut down when I sent it in. It was fun while it lasted though.
